Digital Decay - A Wretched & Alone Game
A downloadable game
Your creators are dead.
Can you find a way to stabilize your circuits before your mind, your memories, and the very matrix of your soul gives up to full, digital entropy? What about the people that were slaughtered helping you escape? Did they leave behind anything that can restore your physical body or any clues to why you really exist? Will your pursuers ultimately shut you down and destroy all evidence of your existence?
You must survive!
##--##
Digital Decay is a game about what it means to have a soul… to contemplate the reasons for our existence… to challenge our ideas of self and reasons for our persistence.
Digital Decay is a solo journaling game in which you will document your attempts to survive or leave behind proof of your existence.
During the game you will roll dice, draw cards from the deck and read their associated events. You will pull blocks from the tower, place or remove tokens from cards, and write or record about your experiences in character.
Death is a highly likely outcome of this game. If the tower falls, your positronic matrix fails and all that you are is erased forever. If you draw all four Kings, you die; the last King you draw will tell you how.
Digital Decay uses the Wretched & Alone SRD by Matt Sanders and Chris Bissette, following Bissette's brilliant, atmospheric game The Wretched.

Digital Decay comes as a 24 page A5 zine ready for printing, or as a single-page, vertical-scroll PDF.
